Our Kickstarter is well and truly underway, so now it’s time for a little update on the campaign and your new best friends.
One thing I wasn’t expecting from this experience was the amount of people messaging about doing paid advertising to boost the campaign. From launch to now it has been over ten companies who have sent direct messages to me, with a number of them now following up their initial enquiry.
As posted in a previous article, we’re not going to do any paid advertising as part of our Kickstarter experiment.
However if we were, how would you choose from so many? Each of them promise the same things really. This in itself would make a good experiment I suppose.
Maybe for another Kickstarter?
Its not all advertisers though, I’ve also received some very encouraging messages. One was offering their services as a composer and one just liked the concept of Travel Warning and shared it on their blog. Both messages are much appreciated.
Kickstarter has become a bit of a platform of legitimacy for our movie. Regardless of the final result of the campaign in terms of a dollar value raised, people are starting to taking notice.
So whatever happens, it’s all good.
